Health and Wellness Champion at Avera Health Plans

I moved from Rawlins, Wyo., in 1993 to attend the University of Sioux Falls. I competed on the track team and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Wellness and Fitness.

I enjoy any activity if it involves being outside and my favorites include water skiing and jet skiing. My three, very energetic Italian greyhounds keep me active and I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

My passion for travel includes learning new ways to incorporate fitness into every vacation and my most memorable were my trips to Colorado hiking in the Rocky Mountains.

Getting the chance to bring wellness into the workplace for our fully insured groups at Avera Health Plans is exciting. The best part of my job is motivating others to learn new approaches to their health and wellness. I look forward to sharing these tips in blogs and open the opportunity to others to share their ideas.
