As a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist with a doctorate in pharmacy, I decided to take my career into the health insurance world to make a difference by improving the overall experience for patients when it comes to understanding their pharmacy benefits. As part of my career as a pharmacist I belong to the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, American Pharmaceutical Association, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the South Dakota Pharmacists Association.
My husband, who is also a pharmacist, and I have two children. We continue to be amazed with their talents and love for sports. If we are not transporting them from French horn lessons to the soccer, baseball or football fields, you will find us cheering them on at the basketball or volleyball courts. Our family enjoys going to our cabin on Lake Thompson with our two dachshunds, Max and Buddy. I find the challenge of maintenance and upkeep of our home-away-from home to be very therapeutic.
Other favorite past times of mine include scrapbooking, card making, photography, reading, baking tasty treats and watching South Dakota State University sports — go Jackrabbits!
